We're alive...

There’s something worth acknowledging in the healing space. We’ve gone through this before with boundaries, narcissism, self-care, thriving and more.
Many people are starting to talk about it, and it’s worth noting it for us to have a real glimpse on being human.
We are absolutely going to experience emotional ups and downs.
The new green smoothie is a regulated nervous system. And the goal has become a touch distorted.
As long as we are alive, we are here to FEEL, to cry because of both joy and pain, to meet ourselves so deeply it can bring us to our knees, to have difficult moments in relationships, to re-evaluate our lives again and again. We will have moments of bliss, of prayers answered in the form of miracles, of ordinary days that bring peace to our hearts. We will experience the spectrum of our humanity.
Because as long as we are alive, particularly in a world going through an on-going and intense evolution and revolution, we will be in a constant state of growth alongside it. Because we are one within the collective.
And so we will absolutely endure and experience all different feelings, reactions, impulses and more because we’re ALIVE. Our bodies, at times, will feel tense, withdrawn, inward.
Not everything that triggers us is inherently bad. Not every person who opposes us is a narcissist. Not every family member deserves to be cut off for disagreeing with us. We cannot insulate ourselves from having a human experience. Or we can, and risk limiting ourselves to confines where we only feel the false sense of regulation, an insulated world where we’re not challenged or moved by life. And being moved by life also means being open to all that feels good, to say it plainly.
This is not me suggesting the opposite, meaning, we expose ourselves to toxic or unsafe people, places, and things because we need a challenge. This is meant to suggest that somewhere in the middle of the polarities is a sweet spot, where the balance is found within ourselves to know and trust that we have what it takes to live a full life, that we have what it takes to face what comes our way, and in the in between moments, to find peace, ease, and whatever else we might need. And for each of us, that will look radically different.
It’s also why talking to a therapist, friend, partner, mentor, safe person of choice, who is willing to push back can be gold for our growth.
Trees roots strengthen from swaying during storms. So do we. And I fully trust that on some level, this is all of us trying on the pants of our healing and seeing if they fit. The pendulum tends to swing in extremes, or polarities, until we find the center.
Lastly, until the systems on this planet are deconstructed and are for all people being able to live a safe, resourced, protected, nourished, healthy, and non-violent life, we won’t all ever truly get to experience a constant state of bliss. Grief will rip our hearts out when injustices occur because the pain is shared. Until we see ourselves in one another, we may never fully arrive there. Our healing has always, and will always be relational, no matter how separate we may see ourselves from one another. The “goal” of healing is for the whole world returning to back to love through all of us.
So please, especially in the spiritual world, know it is not only normal, but necessary to experience all the feelings. Grief births new eras, new agreements, ways of living on earth. Be moved, and watch we we’ll do together.
